FAQs

  • As a Southern California native, I grew up in what I call “gnar” culture. Action sports were all around me growing up. The “cool” kids surfed in the summer and skied/snowboarded in the winter. What started out as attempt for me to fit into the “gnar” culture turned into my genuine love for the outdoors.

Once I had put in three years of hustle-bustle in New York City, I heard the mountains calling. Now, here I am, living out my ski bunny dreams in Colorado and traveling back to California in the summers to SHRED.

  • Because I'm ~alt~ like that?

Truly, I work enough on the platform enough. I love writing copy for my clients, especially brands I care about, but it's nice to have a delineation between work and my personal life :) And I've been known to doom scroll from time to time, so removing that from the equation frees up some time for more important things :)

  • Well, my mom turned into a big college football fan when she was pregnant with me. Months before I was born, Peyton Manning (if you don’t know this name, please skip to the next question) won the Heisman trophy. Watching this ceremony, my mom thought “Peyton would be a great name!” (my parents decided not to find out my gender).

When I was finally born, my mom in fact decided on the name Peyton BUT, my grandmother slyly took the birth certificate from my delirious mom and wrote “Peighton” instead of “Peyton.” To be completely honest, none of us know where she got this spelling. In fact, I just googled it.

  • For this, I will refer you to a brilliantly written article by THE Lena Dunham. Should you have any follow up questions, please reach out.

  • I’m sorry to hear that but you’ve come to the wrong place. And for pete’s sake please do not torture yourself by searching that phrase on WebMD.
